a marquee located on the outside of the Contra Costa Hall building (first floor),
next to the main doors leading to the computer lab. Computer Lab hours, which
are subject to change, are as follows:
Monday through Thursday: 10am to 10pm
Friday: 1pm to 5pm
Saturday: 9am to 5pm
Lab Reservations: If
you wish to make a computer lab reservation for class use, you may make a reservation
by contacting computing lab supervisor by email at fred.fuld@csueastbay.edu
or by telephone at 925.602.6785. You may complete the online
lab reservation form and submit it by campus mail to the computing lab supervisor.
Classroom Deliveries:
Mobile carts equipped with either a PC or Macintosh computer and data projection
unit are available upon request from the Computing Lab Supervisor at 925.602.6785.
Requests must be made seven days in advance of use and are on a first come first
served basis depending on equipment availability. You may make your request
by submitting a computer cart reservation request to the computing lab supervisor
at fred.fuld@csueastbay.edu, or you may
complete a printable
form and mail it to the computing lab supervisor. These computers have network
connections as well as Internet access. If specialized software is required,
the software must be delivered to the Computing Lab Supervisor seven days in
advance for installation. The instructor will need to test the specialized software
in advance of the class to make sure the application is working properly.
E-Mail Access: All faculty
and regularly matriculating students can request an e-mail account. For faculty,
the account will remain active for the duration of their employment. For students,
the account will remain active as long as the student is eligible to register.
Faculty should contact the Computing Lab Help Desk at 510.885.4357 to set up
an account. Only student accounts can be ordered and picked up at the Computing
Lab Help Desk in the Contra Costa Hall Building.
Office Computer: All
faculty offices are equipped with a computer connected to the CCC network as
well as the Hayward computing network. If you have a computer account on the
main campus, please contact either the Network Administrator at 925.602.6789
or the Computing Lab Supervisor at 925.602.6785 for assistance in accessing
your accounts and e-mail on the main campus. The computers in the faculty offices
have numerous software packages, which include word processing, spreadsheets,
presentation software, e-mail and the Internet. Please note a change in faculty
printing. There is a centralized printer located in the Faculty Support Suite. All printing is directed to this printer.
